Are you ready to deepen your relationship with the music? If so, this is the right class for you! This ongoing dunun class is held at a private residence, where we focus on stick and bell technique as well as the fundamental rhythmic structures found in traditional West African rhythms.
Requirements for joining this class include a commitment to weekly at-home practice.

Learn and play all parts of a traditional rhythm, including djembe accompaniments, the break, & traditional dunun parts.
Instruction will be differentiated, so if you are a more experienced drummer, you can learn solo phrases and get practice leading the group and playing the echauffement. There's something for everyone!
Don't own a drum? No problem! Drums are available for in-class use.
