Ben Weston, Chuck Cogliandro, and I were thrilled with the full-day workshop we offered at Tucker Recreation Center last Saturday. Fifteen adventurous rhythm explorers (pictured above) joined us for a day immersed in Balakulanya, led by Ben in the form he learned from Bolokada Conde. I loved this class. I truly feel I mastered a LOT. Your instruction was very clear, well paced and allowed for full mastery before moving on… The class kept moving. The material built quickly and we didn’t spend too long on any section. We made it through all the material you had planned with no rushing at the end. Same with the Dununs... It was exhilarating to participate in the final arrangement and know that I had mastered all the parts, djembe and Duns…. It sounded great at the end.
