Dancer, Drummer. Couturier
Mohamed “Prains” Camara is a 36-year-old, third-generation dancer with Ballet Samato in Conakry, Guinea. He began dancing as a child under the tutelage of his father, Mohamed Camara. Prains has taught intensive dance programs in Conakry for international students, including most recently Grandmaster Bolokada Conde’s Guinea Study Tour in January 2026. Thanks to his training in upholstery, he became proficient with the sewing machine and soon began creating custom costumes for local ballets and students. For those who have had the privilege of working with him, dancing with him, or wearing his unique costumes, it is readily apparent that he is both passionate and committed to delivering the highest quality in all areas of his work.
