We are thrilled to announce a weekend drumming workshop with the renowned Master Drummer Bolokada Conde! 

Join us for a transformative experience as Bolokada, a world-renowned djembefola from Guinea, West Africa, shares his expertise and deep knowledge of traditional West African drumming.

Workshop Details:

• Dates: Friday, June 6, 2025 – Sunday, June 8, 2025

• Location: Odd Fellows, 2495 E 13th Street, Loveland, CO 80537

• Cost:

    o Full Weekend: $140

    o Friday Night Only: $65

Schedule:

• Friday (Evening Only): 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

• Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (With a one hour lunch break.)

• Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

This immersive workshop will deepen your drumming skills, enhance your rhythm, and connect you to the rich traditions of West African music.  All skill levels are encouraged to join.

• Saturday Evening: 

Djoun Djoun/Dunun Class with composer, percussionist and musicologist, John Drace of Boulder, Colorado. In addition to his college degree(s), John expanded his drumming skills in West and Southern Africa for 20 years. He currently shares this skill and knowledge of African drumming through classes and performances in Boulder, Denver and Loveland, Colorado.

o Time: 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.

• *Sunday Afternoon: MORE Drumming with Bolokada Conde at Fort Collins African Drum and Dance Collective

o Drumming Class: 3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

o Percussive Dance Class: 4 :30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

o Location: Beck’s Martial Arts, 2020 South College, Fort Collins, CO 80525

o Cost: Suggested minimum donation of $20
